The Journey of Kuching Cari Cari
Since its inception in 2024, Kuching Cari Cari has grown into one of the most exciting treasure hunt events in Sarawak, attracting participants from across the globe. In just two years, the event has welcomed almost 400 treasure hunters, with 12 teams (around 48 participants) successfully claiming cash prizes. And it’s not just the champions, up to third place winners in multiple categories walk away with rewards!
KCC 2024 – A Cultural Adventure
The first edition focused on the rich history and heritage of Sarawak, from its diverse ethnic cultures to its unique culinary traditions. Participants didn’t just solve puzzles, they discovered stories, tasted authentic flavors and learned historical facts that many had never encountered before. It was more than a game; it was a cultural journey.
KCC 2025 – Behind the Scenes of Kuching’s Water Supply
The second year took treasure hunters into the hidden world of water treatment. Challenges participants to the Kuching Water Board at Batu Lintang and treatment plants at Batu Kitang and Matang, places normally off-limits to the public. With special permission from Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd, participants experienced firsthand how clean water reaches our homes. It was an eye-opening adventure combining fun with knowledge.
